WEEK OF JANUARY 13th

COLLABORATION DAY WITH ST. ALOYSIUS
Reading Olympics

Today the boys from St. Al's came to Villa. We met in our group/team to get to know one another. Each group chose a team name and talked about the books that they had read from the list. We met with the Technology Coach who helped us set up a "discussion board" so we can communicate with each other. Lunch was awesome....pizza, fruits/veggies and a special Reading Olympic Cake.
It was a GREAT day!!

THE GEOGRAPHY BEE

Today the National Geography Bee was held in the VMA gym. Grades 4 through 8 had a representative from each homeroom participate. Each homeroom had a preliminary contest and the winning student moved on to the  Finals.
The fifth grade representatives were Mary & Abby. They did a great job and we are very proud of both girls. Mary continued to the final round (against an 8th grader) and was a runner-up. GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!!
